A company is an organization governed by rules aimed at profit, and to function optimally, it must allow people to express and value themselves. The type of interaction that enables people to be truly valued is a process that goes beyond mere practical rules and is founded on values of ancient origin that remain profoundly relevant today. Following these values shapes interpersonal approaches that lead to the professional success of the individual—and consequently, that of the company.

How was this conclusion reached?

A few decades ago, some American scholars revisited the rules that governed the life and moral conduct of the Samurai, applying them within a general corporate context. They highlighted the power of these principles, which have always held great significance in the human ideal.

This set of values is called “Bushido.” The American Heritage Dictionary defines Bushido as: “The traditional code of the Japanese Samurai, based on honor, self-discipline, courage, and simple living.” Bushido literally means “The way of the warrior.”

In today’s context, developing a business according to Bushido means acting with integrity; this enables one to perform their work effectively and achieve success more quickly, while building and maintaining a credible personal and corporate image.

All of this unfolds through the right relational attitude, a natural result of applying Bushido. Alongside other interpersonal communication tools, it allows companies to attract and retain customers.

The Bushido code is made up of seven virtues and works perfectly for any human organization, large or small, because people must have these virtues as their guiding principles for the best possible interactions—regardless of environment, personal role, goals, or era.

This “modus operandi” represents the fundamental key to achieving lasting professional success built on judgment and awareness, providing a genuine advantage in terms of corporate competitiveness.
